Whether on or off-road the Subaru WRX tears up the off-beaten path and dares to take adventure to the next level. A popular choice for the rally circuit with its all-wheel drive gives the Subaru WRX the ability to stick to the track while maintaining power and control. It’s not surprising that owners of this feisty car would also like to push the limits and test out the adventurous reputation it has earned. It only makes sense that Torklift Central would develop its top-of-the-line hidden hitch, the EcoHitch, for this impressive car.

The EcoHitch for the 2015 Subaru WRX is a match made in heaven. Given its sporty nature, an invisible trailer hitch is a natural addition. An aftermarket trailer hitch gives the owner the ability to add bikes or cargo racks and set off for their next expedition and see where the road ahead takes them. This trailer hitch is the only one on the market that can boast about the ability of being completely invisible when not in use by using the knockout panel on the car. Even greater is that the Invisi hitch has the highest level of ground clearance out of all the EcoHitch models available. This ground clearance also translates when applying the use of racks, ensuring that your car is protected from damage while going over bumps as well as your cargo.

Interested in towing with Subaru WRX? Not a problem. The 2015 Subaru WRX EcoHitch is designed to withstand a towing weight 3,500 pounds and tongue weight of 350 pounds. Rest assured that while designing this EcoHitch for the 2015 Subaru WRX, safety was a top priority. The Subaru WRX EcoHitch and all other EcoHitch applications are engineered to meet the strict SAE J684 safety towing standards and are manufactured with qualified aerospace grade aluminum, stainless steel and steel.

Plucky Plucker's finished Subaru WRX EcoHitch installation

While you can take your 2015 Subaru WRX to one of many certified EcoHitch installers to have the EcoHitch trailer hitch added to your vehicle, the WRX hitch installation is possible to do at your home with the use of some basic tools and skills. On a thread in the North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club (NASIOC) forum you can find numerous mentions of the EcoHitch from fellow WRX owners on how they installed the EcoHitch on their vehicles. One of these users, Plucky Plucker, installed the EcoHitch on his 2015 Subaru WRX and included some photos of his process. Here is what he had to say about the Subaru WRX hitch installation:

"Got my hitch done, it's a Torklift 1 ¼"... Took about 4-5 hours as I was being cautious."

He summed up his installation by saying:

"Overall my experience was good, Torklift’s design and instructions are good. Even though the amount of parts that come off can be intimidating, the job wasn't difficult."

A few posts later and another user asked Plucky Plucker about the performance of his new EcoHitch and bike rack combo.

“Zero wobble, I've even done some ‘spirited’ driving with my bike on the WRX. Yakima hitch racks use threaded hitch pins so it's pretty secure. I can't speak for 2 bikes on a 1 1/4" receiver rack as mine is single bike. I have a 2 bike Yakima holdup with a 2" receiver that I use on the truck & it also has zero to no wobble. Having a threaded hitch pin solves all those issues.”

This trailer hitch for 2015 WRX Subaru is the perfect addition to the vehicle that is known for its sporty reputation. Fusing utility with quality, the Subaru WRX hitch matches the expectations that comes with a WRX. Together they create a winning combination.
