Level with me - why should I have my horse trailer repair completed at Torklift Central?

We also house the College of Trailer Hitch and Towing Knowledge which means we are the only licensed hitch manufacturer in the whole United States who also takes care of trailer hitch and trailer repair. Hey is there a free way to do this for my horse trailer?
We have an idea! We offer a FREE safety inspection called the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection because who says no to something free – done your way? This service is for all our customers whether you have made a purchase or not. This is all about keeping you and your horses safe while your trailer is barrel racing down the freeway at 60 MPH. It’s easy and hassle free too. Make an appointment and we conduct your inspection and make any needed services ready for your review. And guess what – there is no pushy salesperson who is going to hold you against your will to get you to buy a new trailer or make you book the recommended repairs. We respect your space and freedom to decide to do what you want to do. It’s free and it’s your way!
What is included in the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection?
We evaluate your leaf springs, wheel bearings, fenders, axles, lights, brakes, trailer jacks, trailer tongue, coupler, frame and wiring. During this inspection we will do our best to get into the nitty gritty of your trailer but because this is a complimentary service, components will not be removed for deeper inspection, but don’t worry, we know just what to look for. If you would like to upgrade your inspection to allow us to remove your hubs to see your wheel bearings and brakes in their entirety, we can do that too for $50. If you decide to schedule your wheel bearing repack (which should be done annually) or your brake replacement, the upgrade cost is waived.
What is the leading cause that will leave my horse trailer stranded on the freeway?
The simple answer is neglect of a very cost-effective service that is already recommended by your horse trailer manufacturer. Avoiding your annual horse trailer wheel bearing replacement will have you stuck on the side of the freeway with your wheels, brakes and bearings toasted. It is only a matter of time. The cost is high for these repairs caused by this neglect if you forget to have your trailer wheel bearing replacement done annually. We know just how to replace trailer bearings and the cost starts at right around $199.99, which is cheap compared to wheel bearing failure – especially when you add in the cost of your ruined trip and the cost of being towed along with the trouble of your marooned horses. Avoid this by taking control – don’t let this happen.
Can’t I do the repairs and maintenance myself?
Sure, you can! There are many things that you can do yourself if you are handy. There are many horse trailer parts that can be purchased and installed at home. There are items that should be installed and worked on by a qualified technician to ensure that they are working properly. Sometimes you may not be sure what the problem could be. We are happy to take a look at what is going on. This could be anything from horse trailer wiring troubleshooting – to you name it.
What is the best hitch for a horse trailer?
If you are towing a horse trailer behind a truck camper, we recommend our house brand extension called SuperTruss for when you need to extend out. It was actually designed specifically for horse trailers. The reason we recommend this is because it is the only horse trailer extension on the market that features a double truss system. All other extensions on the market only feature a single tube design. Here is why this matters. We will tell you the short version of this story. There was a customer traveling across Montana with a single tube truss extension to tow their horse trailer. The tube bent under the weight and pressure of the horse trailer and gouged into the pavement at a high rate of speed. We are relieved to tell you that while this driver was on the highway traveling at a high rate of speed, the people and the horses survived with all bones intact. This happened after hours so we contacted a dealer partner in Montana who drove out to the customer with a SuperHitch and a SuperTruss in hand. He repaired and installed everything they needed in order to get them back on the road. We don’t understand how they escaped without injury, but they were lucky. This is just one reason we urge horse trailer owners who need to extend out to use the SuperTruss system.
