My snowmobiles cost me an arm and a leg – do you offer anything free for me?

We do! We offer a FREE safety inspection called the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection. It was created for you to have your snowmobile trailer repairs completed – your way. This service is complimentary to those who have scheduled or booked a bearing repack. When you are traveling down the freeway to get to the mountain, we want to make sure you are safe. Just make an appointment with us and we will conduct your inspection and make any needed recommendations for your review. Don’t worry, we will not hold you hostage to pressure you into booking repair with us. We just want you to be informed. We offer this free service – your way.

What is included in the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection?

Lots of stuff! We are going to take a look at your leaf springs, wheel bearings, fenders, axles, lights, brakes, trailer jacks, trailer tongue, coupler, frame and wiring. During this inspection we will do our best to get into the nitty gritty of your trailer but because this is a complimentary service, components will not be removed for deeper inspection, but don’t worry, we know just what to look for. If you would like to upgrade your inspection to allow us to remove your hubs to see your wheel bearings and brakes in their entirety, we can do that too for $50. If you decide to schedule your wheel bearing repack (which should be done annually) or your brake replacement, the upgrade cost is waived.

Tell me the main reason why snowmobile trailers break down on the freeway?

It’s a small thing – that can really turn into an expensive disaster of blizzard proportions. Forgetting your annual trailer wheel bearing replacement will have you stuck on the side of the freeway wishing you were on the mountain with a face full of snow instead. The cost is high for these resulting repairs if you forget to have your trailer wheel bearing replacement completed. We know how to replace trailer bearings and the cost starts at right around $199.99 which is cheap compared to wheel bearing failure – especially when you add in the cost of your ruined adventure. Don’t let this happen to you.

Do I need a wheel bearing replacement?

Oh yeah. You wouldn’t forget to change your oil in your vehicle. This is very similar. Just like how vehicles need to get oil changes regularly, trailers need a wheel bearing repack. Your trailer manufacturer advises to have this done annually. Being reactive instead of proactive on this vital service will lead to compounding repairs when not addressed up front. We have seen time and time again that customers don’t come in for the yearly maintenance that cost as little as $199.99 and then wind up needing a completely new axle which can cost $2,000 and up. And that does not factor in the cost of other damage, cost of a tow truck or the cost of a ruined trip. By completing the maintenance annually, you are saving yourself money and potential damages in the long run.

Are your snowmobile trailer lights not working?

Come on in! We provide snowmobile trailer wiring troubleshooting services and are able to narrow down exactly what the problem is plus we can fix it. If your snowmobile trailer lights are not working, you may encounter traffic tickets and become a safety hazard while traveling down the freeway.

Do you offer snowmobile trailer traction mats?

Yes! Torklift Central offers a variety of snowmobile trailer parts and accessories. No matter what you are looking for we can provide options and pricing for the parts as well as parts and service. Traction Mats, Lift Kits, Spare Tire Carriers, Salt Shields, Aluminum storage boxes, and aluminum helmet storage racks are just a few of the many parts that we offer. If we don’t have a part in stock in Kent, we can have it in the shop in as little as 48 hours.

I am looking for aluminum and metal racks for inside my snowmobile trailer, but I can’t find anything – can you help?

Oh yeah. It is not uncommon to need trailer storage additions for your snowmobile trailer. Sometimes, what you are looking for is not yet out on the market readily available to purchase or perhaps you have dreamt up an idea, but you are not sure how to make it happen. Our on-site engineers can design a storage system for your snowmobile trailer using our CNC auto and CAD plasma tables, 3-D printing technology, and custom SolidWorks drawing system. If you already have a design in mind, we can make it come to life. At Torklift Central – the possibilities are endless.
