Seriously though, why should I bring my trailer repair to Torklift Central – what makes you different from the other guys?

If you give us the opportunity to work with you, we think we can earn your long-term trust and return business. As the home of the College of Trailer Hitch and Towing Knowledge, the answer is simple. We are the only licensed trailer hitch manufacturer in the United States who also handles trailer hitch installation and has extensive experience building custom trailers. You will not find that level of expertise or experience with the other guys.

How do I know I can trust your work?

We offer a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. This means we stand behind our work for a lifetime. Having been around for 45 years, we can tell you we didn’t make it this far without making sure our customers are taken care of and happy with our work. Every single customer is important, and we are thankful for each person who gives us the opportunity to work with them.

Is there any free way trailer sale or service you have to offer?

Absolutely!  We offer a FREE safety inspection called the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection because who doesn’t love something free – done your way? We want to make sure that when you are traveling down the freeway with your trailer, you are doing it safely – your way. This free service is just for you and your needs and is complimentary when you book or schedule a bearing repack. Simply make an appointment with us and we will conduct your inspection and make any needed recommendations for your review. And don’t worry – there are no pushy salespeople who are going to hold you hostage to work to persuade you to buy a new trailer or force you to book recommended repairs. We respect your space and freedom to decide to do what you want to do.

What is included in the Free Way Trailer Safety Inspection?

An evaluation of your leaf springs, wheel bearings, fenders, axles, lights, brakes, trailer jacks, trailer tongue, coupler, frame and wiring. During this inspection we will do our best to get into the nitty gritty of your trailer but because this is a complimentary service, components will not be removed for deeper inspection, but don’t worry, we know just what to look for. If you would like to upgrade your inspection to permit us to remove your hubs to see your wheel bearings and brakes in their entirety, we can do that too for $50. If you decide to schedule your wheel bearing repack (which should be done annually) or your brake replacement, the upgrade cost is waived.

What is the leading reason why my trailer will break down?

Neglecting your annual trailer wheel bearing replacement will eventually have you stuck on the side of the road with your wheels, brakes and bearings toasted. The cost is high for these repairs if you forget to have your trailer wheel bearing replacement done annually. We know how to replace trailer bearings and the cost starts at right around $199.99 -  which is cheap compared to wheel bearing failure – especially when you add in the cost of your ruined vacation. Don’t let this happen to you.

Do I need a wheel bearing replacement?

Just like how vehicles need to get oil changes regularly, trailers need a wheel bearing repack. It is recommended that this is done every year by trailer manufacturers. It is important to keep up on this maintenance and be proactive versus reactive in order to save on costly repairs. We have seen time and time again that customers don’t come in for the yearly maintenance that cost as little as $199.99 and then wind up needing a completely new axle which can cost $2,000 and up. And that does not factor in the cost of other damage, cost of a tow truck or the cost of a ruined trip. By completing the maintenance annually, you are saving yourself money and potential damages in the long run.
