Chevy BrightDrop Van Trailer Hitch for Commercial Fleets
The Chevy BrightDrop van is reshaping electric delivery and commercial fleet services, but its EV architecture and unibody construction limit traditional towing options. Standard aftermarket trailer hitches are not designed for this platform and may interfere with vehicle structure or electrical systems.
Torklift engineers developed this EcoHitch® rear trailer hitch to support towing, liftgate integration, and long-term durability for BrightDrop EV commercial fleet vehicles. This solution enables fleets to confidently add towing capability while maintaining vehicle performance and reliability.
This EcoHitch® was developed in partnership with MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions to support LiftGator® liftgate installations as part of fleet upfitting and EV fleet upfitting projects.
The hitch design supports proper load distribution and clearance required for liftgate-equipped BrightDrop vans used in demanding commercial fleet services environments.
Custom Fleet Solutions
This EcoHitch® was originally developed as a custom fleet solution and is now being produced at Torklift’s manufacturing facility in Washington State. Torklift works directly with commercial fleets to design and build custom hitch and towing solutions when off-the-shelf options are not available. For fleets located in or near the Washington State area, Torklift offers in-house engineering, fabrication, and testing to support custom vehicle upfitting needs. Typical lead times range from 1–2 business days for simple fleet projects, with more complex upfits completed in 1–2 weeks, depending on project scope.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE:
While EcoHitch®️ trailer hitches are built with high-strength materials and tested for exceptional weight ratings, your vehicle’s factory towing capacities are the ultimate limit. Always refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual to determine its maximum towing and tongue weight ratings. No aftermarket hitch or accessory can increase your vehicle’s factory-rated towing capacities.
Using hauling accessories like extensions, cargo trays, bike racks, or other accessories that extend the load out from the trailer hitch, will significantly reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch system.
To estimate how your setup will affect tongue weight, we recommend using our Maximum Hitch Weight (Tongue Weight) Estimator before hauling your payload (cargo trays, bike racks, etc).
Disclaimer: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure safe towing practices and to confirm that all loads fall within the limits of the lowest-rated component in the towing system. Torklift is not liable for any damage or injury resulting from the misuse or overloading of towing/hauling equipment.
Is this EcoHitch compatible with my Chevy BrightDrop EV?
Yes, the Stainless Steel EcoHitch fits 2022–2026 Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 and 600 EV vans.

What receiver size and design does this hitch use?
It has a 2-inch receiver with a 100% concealed cross tube and an upward-angled receiver for superior ground clearance.
Does installation require drilling or affect EV systems?
