How do I choose between the 2-step and 3-step versions?

Measure from the ground to the bottom of your trailer door (A): select 21.5" for the 2-step (Part number A8172) or 24.5" for the 3-step (Part number A8173).

The steps operated smoothly and I was very pleased with the adjustability and stability they provide. They look great and are much easier to put down than the factory steps. I like the improved locking system it is much better that the one in your website demonstration video. The glow-the-dark tape on the step edges should be adequate to guide one in the dark.
All in all, I am very happy with the product.

They are far superior to the steps Airstream uses. We recommend them over the originals, without hesitation. Even someone with a newer trailer should consider investing in Glowstep as a replacement. In fact, we recommended them to Keep Your Daydream on YouTube and suggested that Airstream Nuts and Bolts should keep them in stock for other Airstream owners who are not so handy.

The stairs are very stable. There seems to be very little torque on the the frame. The stairs also fold up nicely and I cannot tell much difference in the amount of "hang" under the frame from the OEM stairs. They look very nice and I like the sturdiness of the design. Well done.

It looks great, super stable, and easy to put in and out. My wife can pull the step out and put it back now. She didn’t like the original Airstream step and refused to touch it. The reflecting tape on the steps is a nice touch. We love the boot brush, since we’re both hikers. The install wasn’t difficult and could be done by anyone with a few tools and a little mechanical aptitude.

Great upgrade for my Airstream. Original steps often difficult to operate and put me at risk of a hand injury. These new steps are super easy to operate, far more sturdy as they contact the ground. Bonuses are that they’re easier to clean and dry faster than the original steps. Probably no difference in weight between the two. Not a super easy install, owing to lack of access to the hardware requiring drilling a 4” hole in the black aluminum skirting. Access was still tight and took a lot of patience to remove the bolts. Estimate it took me about 2 hours to install. A set of long standard allen keys is best. Final point - my pup recently had an amputation of his front leg, and these steps seem easier for him to use than the original! Great product!
