Worked fine for awhile. Took it to touchless and nontouchless car washes several times with no issues initially. However, come around March, i took it to a nontouchless cw, and the cw spinny things bent the license plate and must have pulled it in some way to mess up my ultra sonic sensors and the parking assist feature. I think it pulled it to the point where it protruded out maybe a half inch further than it initally started with. The holder itself is great, and strong, but I think because it lets the license plate protrude out by itself by about an inch on all sides and with the placement of the screws then the weak license plate got caught on the carwash spinny things and bent the plate and must have pulled on the grill in some way to make the holder extend out a bit further than it was designed to.
Anyway, I had to take off the holder as of today 3-19-24 because it began interfering with my USS and was giving me parking assist unavailable error on my MX 2016. Hate to do it, but idk, maybe ill put it on again and test it out, or maybe the weight of it was messing with the USS. But i diagnosed the parking assist and USS for weeks as it was on and off and really baffling me. Today when i got parking assist working again I noticed that even with nothing in front of me the USS said to stop as it was detecting something in front of me. So i decided to take off the holder and lo and behold my parking assist was working again.
Perhaps the latest tesla update increases the range and sensitivity of the USS? I'm not sure. Maybe its the weight of the holder over time? Maybe its because the holder is metal? I don't know. My USS and parking assist was working fine when i first installed until March of 2024. Maybe it was the carwash pulling on it? idk. but i hate to have to get rid of it, but it was messing with my parking assist so I had to. I did read online with people who came across parking assist issues with similar holders; not specifically this brand, and they took theirs off but later reinstalled and everything seemed to work okay again so idk. Maybe ill try it again, maybe not.
It really baffled me for weeks and Tesla nearly charged me 500 bucks to replace my sensors despite nothing being wrong with them. So i hate to give it a 4 as its a really well built and strong product but there's gotta be something to prevent the license plate from bending in a car wash.

The installation was relatively straightforward. It took a little bit of wrangling around to get all of the screws to fit right but I eventually got it. It took me about 25 minutes to do the install. If I had to do it again, I can probably do it in about 10-15 minutes since it did take a little bit of trial and error (I tightened too much so then loosened to get other screws in, etc.).
