    Torklift Toyota Tacoma Rear Camper Tie Downs – T3307 (2016-2023, 5’ and 6’ Beds)-Non-Stainless Steel (T3307)

A slide-in truck camper moves with the truck through turns, bumps, braking, acceleration, uneven pavement and off-road travel. The tie down system has to manage those changing forces without asking the truck bed or bumper to do the job of the truck frame.

Torklift TRUE Frame-Mounted Tie Downs create dedicated camper attachment points at the truck frame. The vehicle-specific brackets stay tucked close to the truck, while removable inserts extend outward only when the camper is loaded. When the camper comes off, pull the inserts and return the truck to a clean, back-to-stock look without giving up ground clearance.

Torklift Central adds a second layer of confidence for both buying paths. Online shoppers can use fitment support to order the correct front, rear and turnbuckle combination. Local customers can bring the truck to our Kent, Washington Retail Product Development Center (RPDC) and have the complete system professionally fitted and installed.

Key Features:

  • Rust-Free Stainless Steel and Aluminum Construction: The Talon version of this tie down is made of stainless steel and aluminum for long-term corrosion resistance.

  • Why Stainless Steel and Aluminum Matter: Truck camper tie downs are constantly exposed to road spray, debris, moisture, and changing weather conditions. Stainless steel and aluminum help to eliminate rust, extend the life of the tie down system, and keep the removable insert and receiver area cleaner and easier to maintain over time.

  • Armor Pro Finish: Torklift’s exclusive premium finish, engineered to outperform traditional powder coat with a tougher barrier against rust, road salt, harsh weather, moisture, and everyday towing abuse. Armor Pro Finish is backed by 2,000+ hours of salt spray testing, up to 8x longer than standard powder coat finish. Learn more.

  • Frame-Mounted Connection: The tie down brackets attach directly to the truck frame rather than relying on the truck bed or bumper as the camper retention point. This creates a dedicated structural connection for the camper and helps reduce stress on bed and bumper components.

  • Improved Handling and Stability: A complete front and rear frame-mounted tie-down system creates four independent camper tie down points at the truck frame, helping keep the camper securely connected to the truck for greater stability and control on the road.

  • Vehicle-Specific Engineering: Each Torklift tie down application is engineered around the truck's specific frame geometry, bed length, running-board configuration, and other fitment details rather than using a universal bracket.

  • Removable Two-Piece Design: The frame-mounted receiver stays tucked under the truck while the tie down insert can be removed with a pin and clip when the camper is not loaded, returning the truck to a clean, back-to-stock appearance.

  • Preserved Ground Clearance: Torklift tie down receivers mount close to the truck frame, and the external inserts can be removed when not in use, preserving the truck's original ground clearance for campsites, uneven roads, and off-road travel.

  • No Drill Installation: This gives customers a clear understanding of what installation requires before ordering online or scheduling professional installation.

  • Four Independent Tie-Down Points: When the correct front and rear Torklift tie downs are installed, the camper is secured using four independent frame-mounted anchor points, creating the foundation for a complete four-point truck camper tie down system.

  • Designed for Spring-Loaded Turnbuckles: A complete truck camper setup uses the correct front tie downs, matching rear tie downs, and four spring-loaded turnbuckles, one at each camper corner.

  • Protects the Integrity of the Truck: By transferring camper securement forces to the truck frame instead of relying on the bed or bumper, Torklift frame-mounted tie downs help reduce stress on components that were not designed to serve as the primary camper anchor structure.

  • Lockable Removable Inserts: Torklift frame-mounted tie down inserts are compatible with Torklift Tie Down Locks for added theft deterrence when the inserts are installed.

  • Made in the USA: Torklift frame-mounted tie downs are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA.

  • Legendary Lifetime Warranty: Torklift frame-mounted tie downs are backed by Torklift's Legendary Lifetime Warranty for long-term confidence in the system.

Inboard Vs. Outboard Comparison

Are the Outboard Tie Downs the Right System for Your Setup?

TRUE frame-mounted Tie Downs (outboard) are designed for truck campers whose tie down points connect outside of the truck bed. If you camper uses internal anchor points that connect inside the bed, the ApexAnchors (inboard) are designed for truck campers whose tie down connects inside the truck bed.

Installation or Service Notes

Installing It Yourself?

Confirm fitment before checkout, read the complete application-specific instructions before starting, lay out the supplied hardware, and verify tool list and torque specifications for the exact part number.

Do not transfer installation steps from another tie down application.

Having Torklift Central Install It?

Bring the truck to our Kent, Washington facility and we can verify the vehicle configuration, check step and accessory interference, install and align the brackets, confirm the removable inserts operate correctly, torque the hardware to the application specifications, and verify the complete front and rear tiedown setup.

Pre-Load Verification

  • Hardware: Verify all fasteners are torqued to the exact application specifications.

  • Bracket clearance: Confirm brackets do not interfere with wiring, brake lines, body panels, steps or other installed equipment.

  • Insert operation: Make sure each removable insert slides fully into the receiver and the pin and clip seat correctly.

  • Complete system: Confirm the correct front pair, rear pair and four spring-loaded turnbuckles are installed before securing the camper.

Maintenance and Inspection

Inspect the tie-down system regularly and before travel. Follow the exact product instructions if they specify a different interval.

  • Fasteners: Check for movement and confirm hardware remains properly torqued.

  • Bracket-to-frame contact: Look for gaps, movement, fretting or abnormal wear.

  • Insert and receiver: Inspect for deformation, corrosion, binding or excessive wear.

  • Pin and clip: Confirm both are secure and replace damaged or corroded components.

  • Turnbuckles: Check spring operation, tension and hardware condition according to the turnbuckle instructions.

  • Camper anchor points: Inspect for elongation, cracking or other damage before travel.

Why Buy Through Torklift Central

Torklift Central serves two truck camper owners equally well: the customer who wants the correct parts shipped to their door and the customer who wants the complete system installed at our Kent, Washington Retail Product Development Center (RPDC).

Ordering online? We can help confirm the exact front tie downs, matching rear tie downs, Talon or standard material choice, running-board and truck configuration, and the four spring-loaded turnbuckles required for the complete setup before the order ships.

Local to Torklift Central? Bring the truck to Kent and have the same fitment expertise applied in person. Our team can verify the truck, install the brackets, check surrounding accessories, set up the removable inserts and confirm that the complete front and rear system is ready for the camper.

Choosing the Right Torklift Tie Down Setup

A complete truck camper tie down system is more than one pair of brackets. Match all three parts before the first trip:

  • Correct front tie downs: Use the front part number verified for the exact truck, bed and configuration.

  • Correct rear tie downs: Use the rear part number verified for the exact truck, bed and configuration.

  • Four spring-loaded turnbuckles: Use one spring-loaded turnbuckle at each camper corner to connect the camper anchor point to the frame-mounted tie down. Camper manufacturers generally recommend 300 pounds of tension per anchor point to protect the integrity of the anchor points.

Do not substitute a rigid connection for the spring-loaded turnbuckle system. The spring-loaded design is intended to manage the dynamic movement that occurs between the truck and camper while traveling.

Disclaimer: Before installing and using this tie down system, review your vehicle’s guidelines regarding payload usage. Some vehicles may have payload limits that make them unsuitable for carrying a camper or an additional payload. Torklift recommends consulting your vehicle’s manufacturer to confirm you are within safe payload limits and to understand any potential warranty implications.

Torklift is not responsible for damage or warranty exclusions that may result if manufacturer payload limits are exceeded during the use or installation of these products.
