Our powder coat facility in action

Without a high-impact powder coat finish, metal is extremely susceptible to rust and corrosion.  It doesn’t make a lot of sense to invest your hard-earned money in any metal product if the metal is not properly protected with a high-quality protective finish.  The examples of what rust and corrosion can do to your belongings are all around us, from rusty trailer hitches hanging off the back of relatively new cars, to utility racks on landscaping trucks that are rusted so thoroughly, it makes you wonder if you should even be driving behind them.

Torklift Central’s custom metal and custom welding capabilities include custom powder coat services to protect any metal part.  We specialize in rust prevention and rust removal for your next custom job.  Our customers come to us to build new creative concepts from the ground up as well as to refurbish parts that would otherwise not be fit for use.  A prime example of this are the countless boat trailers we repair after they’ve been exposed to moisture and thus extensive corrosion from being continually dunked in water.

Take a look at what happened to this boat fender when it arrived at our facility for repair and how we put it back on the road better than new with a high-impact powder coat to protect against rust and corrosion:

If the owner of this boat trailer hadn’t brought it to us when he did, the rust that was growing on his fenders could very well have spread to the frame, suspension and other vital components of his trailer.  Even the smallest area of rust on a trailer or any other metal component should always be repaired immediately.  If not, rust will continue to feed off the moisture that helped create it and eventually take over the metal completely.

In most instances we are able to remove, stop and prevent even severe areas of both surface and structural rust with one of two methods:

Sandblasting

Sandblasting is one stage of our complete powder coat process.  When used to combat rust, the sandblasting process can blast away areas of surface rust that would otherwise continue to worsen until the rusted area would have to be removed and replaced completely.  If caught early enough, sandblasting can remove and stop surface rust before this happens.

Custom welding

Our ability to custom weld any type of metal allows us to remove areas of severe rust and weld in replacement metal in its place.  Our WABO certified welding team has decades of experience performing such work.  If there’s a way to salvage a rusted part, their welding expertise can make it happen.

Take a look at our custom metal work capabilities here.

After we completely removed the rust on this customer’s boat trailer fender as needed, we guaranteed that the fender would be as resilient as possible to future rust and corrosion by finishing it with a trip through our powder coat facility.  With custom welding and a high-impact powder coat the fenders are now better than new and ready to withstand the rigors of boating season for years to come.

Our powder coat facility is a key component of our complete custom fabrication and metal working services.  We perform any sort of custom metal work you need and protect it with our high-impact powder coat.

These are just a few examples of the custom work we’ve performed for our customers that is protected by our powder coat:

A custom motorcycle carrier for an RV to haul the family bikes on road trips.

What do you do when you’re going on an RV trip and want to take your motorcycles along for the fun?  At first it might seem like a real conundrum as most folks assume custom motorcycle racks for an RV are hard to come by.  Luckily Torklift Central’s custom engineering team has created countless variations of these racks for our customers.  Where there’s a will there’s a way.  If your RV’s chassis needs to be reinforced to handle the added weight of a motorcycle carrier or any other load, we can handle that too.

We work with many commercial customers that need custom parts made to help them do their jobs day in and day out.  If you’ve every looked at your work truck and thought how much more useful it would be with a product that you can’t find anywhere else, just let us know what you want to accomplish and we’ll find a way to make it happen.

Drop down truck bumper to keep the driver of this truck and other motorists safe in the event of an accident.

Some custom jobs are for work, others are for play, and others still are just plain necessary for safety.  In the case of this custom drop down truck bumper, our customer needed to have it manufactured to keep his lifted truck safe and legal in the event of a rear-end collision.  Once again, our custom powder coat service was crucial to finishing the bumper.

If even a small amount of rust and corrosion had a chance to make its way into the weld points of the bumper, the structural integrity of the bumper would be dangerously compromised.  Even the smallest metal components of a larger metal product need to be protected with a powder coat, especially if they are key to the overall functionality of the product.

Make no mistake:  our powder coat and custom metal work can be performed for no other reason than to make your vehicle look cool.  Whether or not the owner of this Mini ever takes his car off roading, the custom grill guard we manufactured for him is undoubtedly up to the job if he ever does.

All of the custom fabrication projects you see here have one think in common:  they are all protected with our high-impact powder coat to protect against rust, corrosion and to make them as visually pleasing as possible.  If you can dream it, Torklift Central can build it with our custom fabrication and custom powder coat capabilities.
