The easiest and quickest way to order is online. Start the process by browsing for items, adding them to your cart, and checking out. However, if you would like to place your order over the phone, simply call (877) 651-3835. One of our customer service representatives will assist you in discussing applications and fitment, checking availability, placing orders, and any other questions you may have.

All orders will receive an e-mail confirmation to assure that your order has been placed. Confirmation usually takes within 24 hours of ordered placed. Order confirmation only takes place on business days, which are Monday through Friday. If you do not receive verification from us within this time, please call us at 800-246-8132.

What if the product I want is on backorder?

Some items are labeled that they are not available until a specific date because they are on presale which means they are in the design process. Sometimes items are out of stock. If you have a trip coming up and you need your parts by a certain date - please tell us so that we can adjust build priorities just for you.

When will you ship my item(s)?

In stock products ship within a business day. If you have a specific date that you need your products by, please make sure we know. We are always happy to re-arrange priorities to meet your needs. Please remember that once your order ships, you will want to use your tracking number to contact the carrier about any delays you are experiencing. If your carrier, like FedEx, etc, is not helpful, please contact us right away so we can advocate for you.

Do you offer free shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada and do you ship internationally?

What bike rack works best for me? What other bike racks do you have available?

Every situation is unique and we would be happy to discuss ground clearance, bike styles and personal preference. Please contact us for more information at 1-877-343-6933.

Do you have an Anti-Rattle built into your hitch?

No, most bike racks come with anti-rattle built into the rack itself. If the rack is not equipped with anti-rattle already, an anti-rattle device may be purchased to remove the play from the bike rack.

What size receiver should I get?

Deciding between a 1.25" and a 2" receiver is based on personal preference. The 2" receiver will be more universal and easier to find accessories for. The 1.25" while less universal allows for a more discrete install and overall more clean aesthetics. Be sure you check what size your accessory is (e.g. bike rack, cargo tray) before deciding what size receiver to buy.

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we want the opportunity to make the situation right. You may return or exchange unused items within 30 days of the date of purchase. Items must be unused, not previously installed, and in the original packaging. We will thoroughly inspect all items before issuing a credit. Please include a copy of your order confirmation and any RMA numbers with your returns. The customer is responsible for all freight costs when returning an item for non-warranty situations. What is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act?

"The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket part." - Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

The FTC states that a consumer has the right to patronize independent retail stores and repair shops for parts and service without fear of voiding the new car warranty. The dealer/vehicle manufacturer has the right to deny a warranty repair but they must clearly and definitively demonstrate that the aftermarket part caused the problem.

EcoHitch Questions

Where is the EcoHitch built?

Torklift Central designs our products in Washington state.

Do I need accessory straps for my bike rack?

With the use of an EcoHitch, Torklift Central does not require you to have accessory straps for your bike rack. We build the hitches with strength in mind so that the specified tongue weight applies to wheeled as well as wheel less loads (i.e. bike racks, cargo trays, chair lifts, etc.).

What is the EcoHitch rated for?

Each EcoHitch varies in weight rating. They can be found posted on each models specific product page.

Will the EcoHitch stand up to the weather where I live?

By concealing 90% of our hitch, in most cases above a weather guard and behind the bumper cover, we have reduced exposure to the EcoHitch. All EcoHitches have a high impact powder coat finish, making it harder for them to rust in different weather conditions. Attention should be given to your hitches finish over time, as every environment is unique to its location. Simple touch up with rust inhibiting automotive enamel based paint is all that is needed in most cases. For more information on care and maintenance for our products, click here.

Does the EcoHitch require post-installation care or maintenance?

To minimize corrosion from these environmental factors on powder coated steel products, Torklift Central recommends regularly cleaning and inspecting the powder coated surface and touching up any affected areas with enamel or urethane based aerosol paint products. If you want to add additional protection to your powder coat, or if you are located in one of the rust belt states, you may want to consider spraying your metal products with a heavy duty metal protector, such as Amsoil Heavy-Duty Metal Protector (https://www.amsoil.com). These finish maintenance products are available at any automotive parts supplier. For more information on care and maintenance for our products, click here.

What is the ground clearance from the receiver to the ground?

The EcoHitch has been designed so that the receiver portion will either fit directly under your bumper cover or be completely concealed leaving no ground clearance concerns at all. When the receiver does fit directly under the bumper, with a 2" receiver, it will fit approximately 2.5 inches below the bumper cover. With a 1.25" receiver, it will fit approximately 2 inches below the bumper cover. Measuring from the ground to the bumper cover in those instances minus the receiver size will give you the receiver ground clearance. Please keep in mind when installing bike racks or other accessories to understand your limitations in relation to sloped driveways and other driving obstacles to avoid damaging your accessories.

How much time is needed for installs? Can I install it myself?

If you are using a professional installer please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or call us directly at 1-877-343-6933 and we will be glad to go over our flat rate times. We always suggest allowing for more time especially for first time installs to be sure your hitch is always installed correctly. During the install process if you have any questions you can reach us during normal business hours Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm PST and we will be glad to assist you. Please read through the instructions carefully to understand the installation process before installing your hitch.

What kind of paint do you use? Is it Sandblasted? What color will it be? Can I get a custom color? Can I get it undercoated?

Torklift Central ensures that all of our EcoHitch and accessories are sandblasted and high impact powder coated. The standard color is Chasm black. If you would like a custom color or undercoating, there will be an extra fee.

Who should I have install the EcoHitch? Who do you recommend?

Torklift Central recommends that you have a local body shop or one of our Certified EcoHitch Installers install the EcoHitch. Body shops tend to have the most experience with the removal of auto body panels and related tools and techniques. Alternatively, if you have good mechanical experience you may be able to install the hitches yourself.

How do I track my purchases and shipment?

All orders will receive an e-mail confirmation to assure that your order has been placed. Confirmation usually takes within 24 hours of ordered placed. Order confirmation only takes place on business days, which are Monday through Friday. If you do not receive verification from us within this time, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 1-877-343-6933 during normal business hours Mon - Fri 7:30am - 5:00pm PST. Once the item is shipped from our warehouse, you will receive an email with your shipping tracking number.

What kind of guarantee/warranty is on the hitch?

Each EcoHitch comes with a lifetime warranty and our Customer Service Guarantee. If there is damage to the actual hitch before installation, Torklift Central will address and fix the situation as it arises (this warranty excludes product finish). Any damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, vehicle accidents or acts of God are not covered. Anything not specifically implied will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Torklift Central does not endorse towing with a car that is not towing approved by the manufacturer of that vehicle. All warranties on vehicles are the sole responsibility of the customer and not Torklift Central. Torklift Central assumes no liability from damage or voiding of any warranty by towing with a trailer hitch.
