Whenever an Airstream trailer graces our shop at Torklift Central for any type of trailer service or trailer repair, it feels like a rolling piece of Americana is in our midst.  Originally conceived as a tent on a Ford Model T chassis in the 1920’s, Airstream founder Wally Byam’s dream to build a travel trailer that would move like a stream of air would soon gain popularity beyond his wildest expectations. Byam’s rolling legacy is owed in large part to an impressive range of celebrity Airstream owners over the last 83 years.  From U.S. presidents to movie stars and musicians, it’s no wonder Airstream is still being used to explore the open road today. Just take a look.
