In just 40 years, a small dream has turned into a multinational success. Torklift  is proud to celebrate its 40th Anniversary and the contributions it has made to the aftermarket auto and RV industries. Torklift’s founder Jon Kay opened up a small welding and hitch shop in 1976, not knowing that it would be as successful as it is today. With a dream, passion and a lot of hard work, he created a legendary brand and invented one-of-a-kind products that have stood up to the test of time, able to withstand some of the most rigorous conditions.

The SuperHitch Was Born
With beginnings as a hitch and welding shop, Torklift understood the engineering of a receiver hitch and listened to what customers wanted. Torklift often fabricated and continues to fabricate custom items out of our shop for customers. Keeping this inventive spirit alive and listening to what customers are saying, led to the development of a high capacity receiver hitch, what would later become the SuperHitch. In 1999 Torklift International sent out their first patented SuperHitch. The SuperHitch was developed for heavy duty towing needs. It stands out with the double vertical receiver hitch allowing for accessory usage while towing.

The Growth of the SuperHitch Outlaw Series
From its early days as a single high capacity towing hitch, the SuperHitch has grown into a family of products fitting multiple towing needs. The SuperHItch Outlaw Series consists of three hitch receivers ranging in towing capacity, from 15,000 pounds of towing ability and 1,500 pounds of tongue weight up to a towing capability of 30,000 pounds and 3,000 tongue weight.*

Beyond the SuperHitch
With the success of the SuperHitch has come the development of multiple accessories and products used to assist in camper and trailer towing. One of the most popular accessories to go with the SuperHitch is our hitch extension called the SuperTruss. This receiver extension lengthens the reach of your hitch allowing you to not only haul a camper, but tow a trailer at the same time. The towing extension comes in multiple lengths and is rated up to 14,000 lbs towing and 1,400 lbs tongue weight.
