At Torklift Central, we're not just in the business of making steps – we're in the business of enhancing the camping experience. That's why when a passionate member of our product evaluator program expressed a strong desire for our GlowStep Revolution®, despite the lack of a fit for their Airstream trailer, we saw an opportunity to innovate.

Our journey to develop a fitment for Airstream trailers began in one of our new product development meetings. The idea sparked enthusiasm among our team, but we needed a suitable trailer to test on. Fortunately, our product evaluator, based near Kent, Washington, offered up their own Airstream for the task.

The collaboration was born out of mutual excitement. Our customer, who we previously partnered with for our product evaluator program, was eager to have our steps installed on their beloved Airstream. While their factory steps on their Airstream did the job, they were a big fan of the GlowStep Revolution® and were enthusiastic about upgrading to new steps.

Meanwhile, our engineering team saw an opportunity to innovate and deliver a solution that would benefit not only this customer but also countless others with Airstream trailers. Once the Airstream trailer was delivered to our Retail Product Development Center, our engineering team got to work. This led to countless photos, measurements, and 3D scanning of the trailer to ensure a perfect fit.

After the preliminaries, our engineering team worked tirelessly until they successfully installed the first prototype of what will be the GlowStep Revolution® step system exclusively for Airstream trailers.

The culmination of this collaborative effort was witnessed firsthand during the customer's camping trip. With the GlowStep Revolution® installed on their Airstream, they experienced convenience and safety like never before, enhancing their outdoor adventures in ways they had only dreamed of.
