Installation Steps

* If your travel trailer is equipped with a bumper mounted spare tire, use the Owner’s Manual for instructions on how to uninstall it

Step 1: To avoid interference, unfasten the two propane outlet screws located on the rear passenger side of the trailer

Step 2: Slide the adjustable receiver onto the trailer cross tube as seen below and use the appropriate hardware to secure your receiver to the cross tube

Step 3: Using the provided hardware, attach the Driver Side Crosstube Bracket facing the rear of the hitch and repeat the process on the Passenger Side.

Step 4: Using a drill bit and the provided template, make holes for the mounting hardware and Backing Plate to sandwich the frame.

Step 5: After torquing the bolts to the proper amount, reinstall the exterior propane outlet and you are finished!

**Although your EcoHitch® tongue weight and tow weight rating might be exceedingly high – this is because we build our hitches to withstand all kinds of beatings – your vehicle’s towing capacity could be lower. Please consult your vehicle’s owners manual to determine your factory tow weight rating and never exceed it. No aftermarket products can increase your factory tow weight rating. If your vehicle's tow rating is less than the rated towing capacity on your EcoHitch® trailer hitch, your trailer hitch capacity is limited to your vehicle's factory rated towing capacity. Please check your owner’s manual to confirm your vehicle is rated to tow.
