At Torklift Central, we don’t just sell and install parts — we innovate, prototype, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in towing and hauling. Nowhere is that more evident than in our Retail Product Development Center (RPDC). This unique facility allows us to bring product development, custom fabrication, and real-world installation together under one roof. And when a RAM 3500 rolled into our shop recently, we had the perfect opportunity to show what the RPDC is truly capable of.
The Mission
Our goal? Outfit a heavy-duty 2024 RAM 3500 with the ultimate towing and camper setup using a collection of industry-leading Torklift components:
- D1111-30 – SuperHitch Magnum 30K
- R3510 – Rear Frame-mounted Tie Downs
- D2140 – Front Frame-mounted Tie Downs
- E1536 – SuperTruss Extension
- W6036 – Extended Electrical Pigtail
This was more than just a bolt-on job — it was a chance to showcase how our in-house experts at the RPDC can deliver precision installations that blend performance, safety, and durability.
The Build: Upgrading the RAM 3500
Here’s how the job came together:
SuperHitch Magnum 30K & SuperTruss Extension
We installed the D1111-30 SuperHitch Magnum, the strongest receiver hitch in the industry, paired with the 36” SuperTruss Extension. This combo is crucial for safe towing behind extended truck campers and offers unmatched strength and capacity. Our team carefully torqued the setup to spec and ensured that the weight distribution and chain support systems were dialed in for maximum stability.
Extended Wiring Harness
The W6036 pigtail extension provides a safe and clean way to relocate trailer wiring connections behind the SuperTruss extension. This ensures full trailer functionality and safety lighting — with no wire stretch or sketchy adapters.
Frame-Mounted Tie Downs
Finally, we added the R3510 and D2140 Torklift Tie Downs, connecting the truck camper directly to the truck’s frame. This system keeps the camper stable and secure in all conditions, whether you're cruising the interstate or off-roading into the wild.
Built for Real-World Use
This RAM 3500 is now fully equipped for extreme hauling and overlanding. And thanks to the RPDC’s expert installation process, everything is tested, validated, and rock solid.
