Whenever an Airstream trailer graces our shop at Torklift Central for any type of trailer service or trailer repair, it feels like a rolling piece of Americana is in our midst.  Originally conceived as a tent on a Ford Model T chassis in the 1920’s, Airstream founder Wally Byam’s dream to build a travel trailer that would move like a stream of air would soon gain popularity beyond his wildest expectations.
